SMARTBOX

This is my graduation project for Smartbox. Smartbox wanted to expand their range of products. Out of the market research for the sister company of Smartbox it seemed that their customers would be interested in a curtain slider. This is a product that the sister company already delivired but it was a special that had to be made seperate for each Smartbox. The assignment I got was to design a curtain slider that fits the Smartbox 3.0. The curtain slider can't have a negative effect on the Smartbox like a decrease in strength.

For the curtain slider I designed two profiles that can fit the rollers Smartbox already used. To reduce in costs the profile for the bottom of the Smartbox can also fit hinges so the profile can be used for open loading boxes. The profiles on the sides are the standard Smartbox profiles that now have a standard aluminium profile fit in between. On these standard profiles a folded aluminium plate can be attached so the handles of the curtain sliders can be attached to them and the curtain slider can close. The handles and the rollers of the curtain sliders are the same as the ones Smartbox previously used.
